Things you didn't know you needed to know

🌍

Second most traded commodity

Coffee is the second most traded commodity on Earth, after crude oil. The world runs on it. Literally.

🐐

Discovered by goats

According to legend, a 9th-century Ethiopian goat herder noticed his goats were absolutely buzzing after eating coffee berries. Legend. Goats.

Caffeine kicks in fast

Caffeine reaches peak blood concentration in about 45 minutes. But you feel it in 10. Your brain is already lying to you before the first mug is done.

🌡️

The perfect temperature

Ideal brewing temp is 90–96°C. Boiling water (100°C) scorches the grounds and makes it bitter. Your kettle is probably ruining your coffee.

☁️

Cloud-grown is best

High-altitude coffee (above 1500m) grows slower in cooler temps, developing denser, more complex beans. Clouds make better coffee. Fact.

🧠

The decaf myth

Decaf still has caffeine — about 15mg per cup vs 95mg in regular. "Decaf" is a vibe, not a promise.

🖤

Espresso

The OG. Concentrated. Powerful. No milk, no apologies.

🥛

Flat White

Espresso-forward with a thin layer of microfoam. The smart choice.

Americano

Espresso + hot water. Long. Mellow. Deceptively drinkable.

🍵

Cortado

Equal parts espresso and steamed milk. Balance in a tiny glass.

🧊

Cold Brew

Steeped cold for 12–24hrs. Smooth, low-acid, slightly dangerous.

🌿

Pour Over

Manual. Meditative. Produces the most flavour-forward cup possible.
